One noted Bible teacher once said–āWe have a faith rooted in historyānot mystery. The words on the pages of Scripture are supporting by simple elements we can dig out of the ground. They prove nothing, but they support everything. How can we expect to believe in the parts of the Bible we cannot verifyālike faith, the Messiah, and heavenāif the Scriptures are not also true in the natural realm? The Bible is not primarily a history book, but what it says about history is true. The Bible is not a science book, but what it says about science is true. This reality reminds me of what Jesus said to Nicodemus: āIf I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?ā (John 3:12). With our own eyes, we can see Hezekiahās wall, Hezekiahās Tunnel, and Sennacheribās Prism.ā They are real. So is our faith.
