āManifestations of Prideā It is amazing to note that the first third of the list comes from Proverbs. More Biblical descriptions of pride are in Proverbs (9x) than any other book. Matthew comes in second (7x):
1- Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.
2-Proverbs 18:1-2 A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment. 2 A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.
