1—Zechariah 12:1—OUR ALMIGHTY CREATOR IS GOD THE SON: God the Son “stretched out the heavens” (cosmos), and “lays the foundation of the Earth” (geos), is also the One who forms the “spirit/breath” in man (pneumos) as Paul reminds us in Col. 1:16-17.

2—Zechariah 12:2-3—GOD PICKED JERUSALEM AS HIS CITY: God made Jerusalem the center of world history.

The close of world history is tied to this little city, called Jerusalem. All the world will focus on Jerusalem as the Wrath of God is poured out in the Tribulation. History culminates with Jesus Christ’s descent to the Mount of Olives, in Jerusalem—as Earth’s Creator returns.

3—Zechariah 12:4-14—GOD INTRODUCES HIS SON THE LORD, JESUS, CHRIST: God introduces Himself to Israel (John 1:18; Hebrews 1:3).
