Perfect Earth Is Coming

Good morning. Welcome to Revelation 20. I don’t know if you’ve noticed lately, but the Earth is dying. With satellites, we see a mass of plastic floating out between us and Australia in the Pacific. It’s the size of the state of Texas. It’s plastic and Styrofoam. It’s in a gyre. Do you know what a gyre is? It’s an ocean current that goes in a circle. It collects all the garbage from every time there’s a typhoon or a hurricane, it washes across the beach, gets all that junk, it goes out in the ocean, it floats around, and it collects out there in the Pacific Ocean. They’ve found this is just one small example of what’s going on right now all over the world.

You can think about it, what humanity has done to the world. First, they started using wood to do things with, so they cut down all the forests. Then they found coal. They did strip mining. Have you ever seen strip mining from above? They take all the topsoil off, and they strip the coal out. What’s left looks like the moon. Then they discovered oil. Do you remember oil? It used to be if you just poked a pipe in the ground in Oklahoma, it would come out of the ground, and it just covered the top surface. Today, in Siberia, in Russia, there are just lakes of black petroleum, and oil, on top of the ground. It kills everything in sight. Animals and plants can’t live in oil.

What do we have now? Solar. Do you know what’s happening today? The first generation of solar panels are coming off of houses in California. Do you know how poisonous those solar photoelectric transmission films of, what is it, lithium? I don’t even know what all is in it, but they’re taking them off the homes and putting them in landfills, no less. That stuff is totally toxic.

Do you know what’s worse? The batteries that are inside of electric cars. They’re great when they’re in the car, but have you noticed that on every airplane they say, do you have a lithium battery in your bag? Take it out, because it might spontaneously, what? Start on fire. All over New York City, those electric bikes are starting on fire. They have reports every week of an electric bike exploding on fire and causing some kind of a disaster in some apartment building where the people brought it into their apartment and left it and it started on fire.

Why am I saying all this? Everything fallen humanity touches gradually causes a problem and leads to death. The Earth is dying. In Mexico City today, do you know what happens regularly? Pigeons flying through the airdrop to the ground in front of people. They die from the pollution in the air in Mexico City. It’s not just there, there are cities in India, in China, and before long, there will probably be cities in America where birds die from all the chemicals and toxins that are up there.

But, the good news is, a perfect Earth is coming. I want to read to you about that. That’s chapter 20. Remember the chapter content I showed last week that I said, you’re going to have to match? Millennium is chapter 20, but it’s only the first six verses. I saw an angel coming down from Heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon. Now verse 2 is very interesting. It connects it all together. The dragon, that serpent of old, what’s that? That’s Genesis 3. Eve and the serpent in the garden. Who is the devil? Who’s that? That’s Matthew chapter 4. That’s the one that came to Jesus in the wilderness and tempted him. Satan, who is that? Paul said, Satan’s always thwarting me and resisting everything I’m doing. Satan, the adversary of God. Bound him, look what verse 2 says, For a thousand years. Verse 3, And cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal on him so he should deceive the nations no more. There’s what Satan does, whenever Satan is loose, he deceives the nations.

Now yesterday, his two biggest viruses that he infects people with are religion, that they can find their own way to God, make their own way to God, do it themself, you know instead of God’s way, or materialism. If you think about it, if everybody still lived on a farm with a cabin and growing food, we wouldn’t have all this pollution. It’s the idea of materialism that I want a bigger cabin, I want more farms, I want to make more money, I don’t want to work, I want other people to work for me. That’s what Satan infects people with. Look at this, he doesn’t deceive, verse 3, the nation’s anymore till the, and there’s the second time that term shows up, the thousand years were finished. But after these things, he must be released for a little while. Then it goes into this thousand-year period. That’s what we’re going to cover this morning.

Let’s pray. Then we’re going to go on a journey. Dear Father, we invite You to do what You want to do. Prayers when we acknowledge we need You when we ask for all of those promises You’ve given us, of Your Spirit to illumine us, of You, Lord Jesus, to stir our hearts, of You, oh Father, to open our eyes to behold wonderful things from Your Word. So, all these things we ask now, for this time we get to share, these next two hours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Oh, what a time to share the Gospel. Earth is dying, and only God can fix it. I don’t think it’s Christians who should be going around the world protesting and saying they don’t believe in climate change. You already know the Earth is going to die. That’s what the whole Tribulation is about. God allows the natural direction things are going to just amplify. When that happens, it’s unbelievable to watch.

Now I’m just going to give you some news headlines. This is the amazing fire that went on two years ago. The deadly heat waves that are blasting the US and Europe are raising fresh concerns about rising global temperatures to people. There are also risks of rising temperatures for nature. Many will remember the shocking wildfires in Australia that killed or displaced 3 billion animals. That was just two years ago. It’s almost reruns or something. It’s so long ago, two years.

But the truth is our planet is rapidly warming. You have to admit, from 1850 to 2024, that’s how long they’ve been recording the weather. Watch, 1850, 2024, every indicator, the number of tornadoes, typhoons, hurricanes, and the mean temperature, global temperature. Every indicator, forest fires, droughts, famines, every indicator, they’re going on a projection that is steeper than the crypto in the stock market. It’s just like that. So, you can’t deny it’s happening.

Now, Christians might say it’s not human fault or, whatever. It’s okay. We can say that we’re processing the numbers, but the greatest thing for Christians is we’re supposed to be the ones that are advocating truth. The truth is, God says, in the future, the whole world is going to burn. All the oceans are going to die. All the animals are going to die. Humanity is going to be scorched by the sun. But all the Christians go around and say it’s not true, there’s no global warming. The ultimate global warming is just ahead of us.

This is an amazing thing to see. How do you like this? This was a headline. Everything, everywhere. This was last year. I taught this last year here. All the students at the winter conference were just shocked. Microplastics are everywhere. They are shed from items like your clothing. Do you know what makes this nice, drip-dry, not wrinkle clothing? Plastic, microplastics put in and into tires, into broken-down trash, produced in factories. Tiny pieces of plastic debris have been the subject of a number of grabby headlines of late, which proclaim they’ve infiltrated the farthest reaches of the ocean, the snows of the Antarctic, and even the air we breathe.

Listen, now they’re finding when a doctor in a hospital was taking a blood draw, a doctor rarely does it instead of the nurse, but it was a special test he was doing. As he took the blood and took it to the lab he did his microscopic study as a hematologist. Do you know what he found for the first time and documented? Plastic particles in the bloodstream. It’s not just that we have Coke bottles everywhere. By the way, 11% of all garbage in the world are Coca-Cola bottles. They just established that yesterday. Bloomberg said that now the people who divest their money from companies that are bad, they found out one out of every nine pieces of trash in the world is a Coke bottle! So, watch out for Coke stock.

Do you know what number two is? Pepsi, of course. Do you know what number three is? All those water companies. They have those water bottles. Those are what are the size of Texas floating out there between us and Australia. All this coke bottle stuff and all the Styrofoam, like from, I don’t even know what we call them, QTs and Speedways, Wawa is that what they have here? Where you can get, or used to be able to get, a Styrofoam 30 or 40-ounce thing to drink. Where does that go when you toss it in the bin? A lot of them go to that gyre by Australia. I don’t know how they get there, but they go there. They said that’s what it was. That was last year.

Look at this. What’s the date on this? April 17th. Let’s see. Come on, come up. That was nine days ago. Now doctors have found evidence that microplastics are starting to filter out into our lungs. The blood, our respiration of blood, there’s that transference of the oxygen molecules, and you need hemoglobin, remember, to link to that and go through your bloodstream and feed all of your organs. Guess what that little transfer is also doing? It’s not just transferring oxygen anymore. Plastic is going into the blood, and now it’s filtering out in the brain, in the liver. It’s amazing to think humanity is poisoning and killing itself.

You know what plastic is made of, right? Petroleum. Most gas doesn’t go to cars, it goes to your clothes, it goes to that table, the chair you’re sitting at, this carpet, this is all petroleum. People that say we’re going to stop oil, really? Are you going to wear clothes? Are you going to drink anything? Everything is plastic nowadays, it’s unbelievable and it’s all petroleum.

Let’s go to our agriculture. This is from the Belgian paper in Europe. It’s called the Brussels Times. I love how Europe treats things. PFOS and PFOA were found in soil samples, but not in water or vegetables. Isn’t that comforting? I thought that was a great spin. They find the most positive spin. In America, they find the most negative spin, if you’ve noticed that. In Europe, they’re trying the positive way.

Here’s the article. Two harmful compounds. These are known as the forever chemicals if you’ve ever heard of that. It’s what is in all the wrappers of everything. When you go to supermarkets, it’s all PFOAs and PFOSs. It’s what they put into wrappers that they wrap any food in, when you go to Chipotle, or when you go to McDonald’s, or when you go to Chick-fil-A, or when you go to the grocery store. Whatever you bought, like your breakfast roll, is on a piece of paper. It’s coated with this PFOA and PFOS stuff. Which no one thinks about. So are all the pans that you cook with, the non-stick pans that you have to replace because the non-stick stuff goes somewhere. Where does it go?

See it’s going into soil and water, but not vegetables. So, what they said, they’ve taken almost all samples from chicken runs, vegetable gardens, compost, eggs, house dust, and serum. They’re finding this poison, but it’s not in the water or vegetables. Again, look at that date. That was class two years ago.

This is today. Now, they found the PFOA’s and S’s, these forever chemicals, are now in our bodies. This was the article. I didn’t record the clip, it’s too long, and it’s 48 minutes long. But it says the PFAS chemicals are used in thousands of products aimed at making life easier. See, that’s what humanity has done to kill ourselves. Fallen humanity wants everything to get easier and easier. We don’t like hard work. Left to ourselves, we’re lazy and everything else. That fallenness, that wanting everything to be easy has made those chemicals almost everywhere, including in human blood, and they’re being linked now to severe health problems.

I’ll give you an example. When my mother worked in a factory in World War II, the women at the factories, and I don’t have my pen, they were painting the dials on the instrument panels of airplanes. They had these paintbrushes, and they had this luminescent glow-in-the-dark paint. They would take their paintbrush, and they would go like this to make the tip really pointed. They would dip it in the paint then they would paint the letters on these airplane dials. Then they would go like this and make the point of their brush, and they would do the next airplane dial. No one told them that the paint was deadly. The women in that factory, by the Korean War, all had horrible mouth cancer. They had tumors everywhere from twirling a brush.

Now who would do that today? We think about that. Yeah, but the same people on their break were doing what? Smoking. How long did they hide the fact that smoking is harmful? It led to the greatest generation of lung cancer that the world has ever seen from all that filtering out the tar of cigarettes. So, we have a long history of hiding in our culture globally, pathogens, things that are deadly.

Look at this, the clothing the packaging for our fast food, all that stuff is putting poison, that now if you look, do you know what the highest fastest cancer rate in our country is right now? 30 to 40-year-olds. It used to be us. It’s not anymore. It’s the young people just out of college starting their career and they’re getting so many unusual cancers. That’s what this study is saying. They’re linking it back to those people who are the first generation that kind of lived their whole life eating on PFOAs, PFOSs, etc.

Now how do you like this? The British came and bought a motorhome, the Guardian UK, and they went to all 50 states. Their motorhome was one giant mobile lab. Now you’d think America would have done this, but they did this and drove around and went to diners. They went to fast food places. They went to nice restaurants. They stayed in hotels. Everywhere they went they got their little glass, filled it with water, and ran out to their motorhome and tested it. See that the graphic shows they have a little plastic glass from every state of the country and every major area and this is their article. We sampled tap water across the U. S. and found arsenic. Do you know what arsenic is? It’s a long-term slow poison. Lead, do you know what lead is? It’s what killed the nobility of the Roman Empire. They had lead water pipes, and it led to all kinds of ghastly organic failure and all kinds of birth defects and everything else. Toxic chemicals. In the nine-month investigation by the Guardian, that’s the newspaper in Britain, and Consumer Reports, that’s the American place that tests everything, we found alarming levels of forever chemicals, arsenic, and lead in water samples coast to coast. The Earth is dying.

Now, look at that picture. See that? That’s American agriculture. That’s global agriculture. We spray everything. You only want to see wheat. You don’t want any weeds. You only want to see sunflowers. You don’t want to see weeds out there growing. You just want corn. How do they get those fields? Have you ever driven by and seen miles of rows of waving corn? If you’d have seen them 40 years ago, you would have seen weeds everywhere. No weeds. Why? They spray it. You see right there? Weed killer chemical glyphosate is found in 80% of American’s urine. Do you know what they found out when they’re doing the urine samples to see how your body is doing when you go in and get your annual physical or whatever? Do you know what they find? 80% of people have that weed killer inside of their body. By the way, it is a carcinogen. The same company I believe that makes Bayer aspirin and Bayer children’s aspirin makes glyphosate. They preserve health and stop fevers, and they do that.

Now this one is the worst. This is this week. On the right-hand side is a normal chicken house where all of your chicken soup and McNuggets and chicken whatever at Chick-fil-A comes from. All those eggs from Egg McMuffins. 250,000 chickens you can see there. They live about 18 to 24 months. They can start laying eggs at about 4 months and they lay them for about 20 months and then they become chicken soup. This is normal. They walk around on bedding, and they peck away and eat their corn, and everything that drops to the floor, their feathers, their droppings, the food they don’t eat, and all that bedding material that they scratch around in. They take the chickens out when they go to become chicken soup, and they just plow that stuff, and what do you think they do with it? They sell it to the left side.

Now, see the article if you can read it. On the right, the avian flu outbreak raises a disturbing question, is our food system built on poop? Now this is, I think that’s the Washington Times, I’m not sure, no, that’s the Los Angeles Times. What they said is, it’s perfectly legal and it’s completely normal that the droppings, the bedding, is plowed up, and sold to the dairy farmers who put that into the silage. Do you know what silage is? It’s all the hay and alfalfa and grass and stuff that the dairy cows need. So, they have two chutes coming together into an auger. They’re mixing up the feathers, the droppings, the defecation, what’s a nice word to say, of the chickens and it says there are beaks and feet and everything else in there. It just goes in, because they just plowed it into dump trucks, with the grass and the alfalfa and they mix it together and they said the cows love it.

Look at the left, bird flu is spreading to more farm animals. Are milk and eggs safe? Now, I didn’t have time this morning, but you know what this morning said? 20% now of eggs and milk are showing the newest avian virus in milk and eggs, but they can’t figure out how. If you can’t get infected, if those birds are walking around sick and messing, and you’re plowing that and feeding it to the dairy cows, and the cows are making milk inside the same system that’s chewing up all those feathers and beaks and droppings. Do you understand what I mean? This is where we are. I’m only telling you that to say that at every level the Earth is dying.

What does the Bible say? Lost humanity rejected their Creator and Redeemer so Christ the King returns as Judge. That’s the Tribulation. Then for a thousand years, Jesus keeps His promises, showing what He can do in renewing the Earth. So, the perfect world is coming. Jesus brings it. Think about it. At the end of the Tribulation, the whole Earth is smoldering. It’s just like those hailstones and all the scorchings and everything, it’s a mess. Jesus comes back and makes it like the Garden of Eden. That’s what the Millennium is. It’s the renewing of the Earth.

Now I’ll just show you graphically. This is the overview of the book of Revelation. We’re the Church on Earth. The great event of going to the Rapture. We’re all finding ourselves around the throne in Heaven, where we have our works judged by fire. While we’re there, the Tribulation of God’s wrath comes. Jesus is now going to come back in flaming fire, it says in 2 Thessalonians 1, coming back as King to this ruined Earth, and He rules for a thousand years. That’s what you saw in those words, thousand years, thousand years, thousand years. Six times it says it. But a perfect environment doesn’t make perfect people. A perfect environment, Jesus brings. It’s amazing. I’ll show you, 40 chapters describe this. So, they rebel, then they stand in front of the Great White Throne, and then we enter into the joy of our Lord forever.

So, there we are, that’s the seven clear events. In this class, we’re looking at numbers five and six. The first half is the Millennial Rule, the second half, the Great White Throne, and the final rebellion.

Who got this book first? Who first heard this message? A group of people that were living through plagues and droughts, drinking water out of lead pipes, people that were poisoned all the time because there was no FDA that checked anything. It was people who were suffering horrifically. The beginning of what we’re going through now. Jesus says to them if you have Me, you have everything because if you don’t survive this world if you get worked to death or killed as a Christian, I’m going to prepare a place for you. He’s describing that place.

Here’s the place He describes in chapter 20. Good news, paradise on Earth is coming. Now, you’ve all heard Isaiah 11:6, but I’ll read it to you. God promised that Earth would return to a paradise condition. Here’s how the Lord describes the Millennium. The wolf will dwell with the lamb. That is very uncommon. The leopard will lie down with the young goat. That’s very not possible unless you drug the leopard. The calf and the young lion and the fatling will all be together, and a little child will lead them. Do you understand what it’s saying? The Millennium is a complete change of the physical, natural world.

If I could print all the verses, it would say that the spiders are not poisonous anymore, the snakes are not poisonous anymore, and the alligators don’t chase dogs or people anymore. There is no carnivorous, poisonous, rapaciousness in animals anymore. They’re all like dogs and cats, pet dogs and cats. You notice it says a little child will lead them. It’ll be really nice.

The Millennium is in 40-plus chapters. It’s promised to David, predicted in the Psalms and Prophets, and promised to Mary. It’s in the Lord’s Prayer, thy kingdom come, that’s a prayer for the Millennium. It’s about the rule of God, the whole 2nd Psalm and the 110th Psalm are about it. We saw it in Revelation 12, with Jesus when He comes in Revelation 19:15, and Paul talks about it when he says every knee will bow to Him. He is Lord of the Earth and that’s for a thousand years.

But what does that mean? If you really think about, what does it mean? Everybody in the Millennium is going to have health. You’re not going to have organ failure from PFOAs or arsenic or lead or glyphosate coming in, breathing it in, and plastic clogging your brain. Longevity. The Bible says that if someone dies at a hundred years old, they’re considered a child. Now they will die at a hundred years old, Isaiah said, if they rebel. God does not allow any rebellion.

It’s balmy weather, like back before the flood. In the absence of danger, you don’t have to fear animals, you don’t have to fear poison. You can walk at night and no scorpion or centipede or millipede or tarantula will get you. You can go swimming in Word of Life’s pond and the alligators will just smile at you and give you a ride. There’s an absence of any danger. Food is abundant. The air is clean, water is clean. It’s a garden-like world, beautiful. There are docile animals and global peace. Everyone is prosperous. There’s no hunger. There’s no poverty. That’s the Millennium. It sounds like a utopia that all the cults promise. That’s what God has offered for 1,000 years. During the mille, 1,000, annum, years, that’s what millennium means. It’s actually just a translation of the Greek word that’s in chapter 20 6 times. That’s the fulfillment of all 40 of those chapters.

Now, the big picture is, that creation is changed. There are physical changes. Zechariah and Isaiah describe them. It starts out when Jesus lands, His feet land on the Mount of Olives. Do you remember? He lands on the Mount of Olives. When His feet touch down, the Mount of Olives splits. When it splits, water flows from Jerusalem down to the Dead Sea, and the Dead Sea becomes a living sea. The other half flows into the Mediterranean. The mountain split and that’s how the Second Coming kicks off.

Now I had a pre-class question from our student over there in the right corner, St. Bruce Peterson. He said, are you going to talk about the space of time between the Tribulation and the Millennium? I said, yep, about as much as the Bible does. Do you know what the Bible says? Those that live through the 1,260 days, and over the 1,300, and I forget what it is, 15 days, they are going to enter the kingdom. There’s about a 75-day, it talks about in the Bible, the period between the touchdown of Christ on that mountain and what you’re seeing here, this curse lifted a bit. Creation is redeemed. All of a sudden, the Earth becomes full of the Lord, Isaiah 11 says and Habakkuk 2. Yet, it’s not Heaven. Why? Because death and sin are still there. They’re just restrained as Isaiah 65:20 says.

Each person will have their own land. They’re not dwelling in their Father’s house. They’re farming on Earth. That’s what the Millennium is described as. But yet everything is fruitful. So, it appears that the weeds of the curse, remember weeds are part of the curse in Genesis 3. You have to work to grow things, there’s interference with weeds, and it’s hard. That goes away as the Old Testament prophets say.

So, what kicks it off? What we read is that the angel puts, for a thousand years, Satan in the bottomless pit. You remember what the bottomless pit was. We examined that. There’s a place of the dead called Sheol. It had a place for the righteous dead and a place of torment for the unrighteous dead.

Then there’s a place for the bad angels and there’s this abyss place. I already showed you that picture. That abyss place is on the Earth and that’s where Satan goes. He’s chained and locked in there.

But look at how strong Satan is. Verse 7, Now when the thousand years have expired. A thousand years of everything you grow, no bugs are eating it. You just eat it, and it doesn’t have a worm in the apple. A thousand years where weeds, you aren’t constantly trimming the weeds back because they’re choking everything out. A thousand years where there’s no problem with dust storms and droughts. It’s just a thousand years of wonderfulness, and there’s no war, there’s no murder, there are no prisons, there are no hospitals for a thousand years. Jesus is right there. You can go meet Him if you want.

Satan is released from his prison. Then he’ll go out, verse 8, to once again deceive the nations who are in the four corners of the Earth, Gog and Magog. Gog is a term for a ruler, Magog is the people of the ruler. So, it’s saying, he’s back to being the head of everything and all the people follow him. He gathers them together to battle, whose number is as the sands of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the Earth. So, Satan organizes everybody to come, and they start marching on Jerusalem again, after a thousand years. There was one failed invasion at Armageddon. This is a second. They march from the breadth of the Earth. They surround Jerusalem.

Now look at how Jerusalem is described. In this verse, it’s called the camp of the saints and the beloved city. We know what that is. That’s Jerusalem. What’s the camp of the saints? That’s a very fascinating concept. We’ll come back to it. But as they come and surround this Jerusalem, fire comes down from God. There’s no battle, just like Armageddon, from Heaven and devours them.

Okay, really quickly, did you know that Jesus opens God’s Visitor Center in Jerusalem? Did you know there are eight chapters in the Bible about this? It’s Ezekiel, chapters 40 to 48, only mentioned in one verse, Revelation 29.

This is what God does because God is still operating on that. Did you know He invented the whole schedule that you find in the Old Testament? The schedule of feasts? Have you thought about the fact that Passover, which is right now, this is Jewish Passover week, is followed by the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is followed by the Feast of Firstfruits, and then 50 days later is the Feast of Pentecost? Those are the spring holidays in the Old Testament, and all the Jews follow.

Then they have fall holidays, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the holiest day. It’s when all of Israel stops. Did you know they just all stop, and it’s like Holocaust Remembrance Day? They also do that, where at a certain time, in all of Israel, they blow these sirens, and everyone stops their car, and gets out of their car, and stands and bows their head like this, for, I don’t know how many seconds or minutes it is. It’s a phenomenal thing to see. Usually, they try and attack Israel during these feasts because they know most, 90 some percent of the people all do it. They follow the schedule in Israel. They follow it all over the world.

But look at this, God is following the schedule to this day. Jesus was crucified at Passover. Jesus was buried before sundown on Passover so that He would be buried for the Unleavened Bread Feast. What’s so curious, is that in Exodus it says the day after the Sabbath. What day is the Sabbath day? Say it out loud. Saturday. What day is the Sabbath day? Saturday. What’s the day after the Sabbath day? But it doesn’t say that Jesus rose on Sunday. We know it, but it says He rose, in the Old Testament, it said He will rise on the day after the Sabbath. See, that’s how the whole Old Testament is pointing to, prophetically, through the feast, to Christ’s death at Passover as the perfect Passover Lamb, burial at Unleavened Bread as the perfect One who removes our sin, rising on the Feast of Firstfruits.

What happened when Jesus rose? On the cross, when Jesus was on the cross, do you remember the earthquake came and popped open graves all over Israel? Have you all read Matthew 27? All over Israel graves popped open and it says people came back to life that were in the graves. It doesn’t say a few, it says many, but they didn’t come out it says until Jesus stepped out of the tomb. Do you want to know why the whole world was moved by the resurrection of Christ and there were 3, 000 people on the day of Pentecost that just came and wanted to know what’s going on and be saved? From all over Israel, the earthquake caused these tombs to open up, and people went by as they do after earthquakes, and they were looking into these holes, ancient tombs, and when they looked in, two eyes were looking out at them. Boy, you would back up, say, what’s going on? On Sunday morning, they all started marching. They came out of their graves, and they came most likely to Jerusalem, but that’s what you studied in Matthew. I just wanted to mention that.

Fifty days later after the Resurrection, exactly 50 days later, it is the Day of Pentecost, and we know what happened there. The Holy Spirit was poured out, and the Church was born. Now look, all those have happened exactly on the Old Testament schedule. Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and the birth of the Church.

There are three left. Trumpets. What’s the one thing Paul said? For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout and the voice of a trumpet, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, and we who which are alive. It’s almost synonymous with the Feast of Trumpets, the Rapture. The Day of Atonement is when all of Israel looks up at their Redeemer. That’s what Zechariah talks about, that’s the Second Coming, when as Paul says in Romans 9 to 11, all Israel will be saved. Then the Feast of Tabernacles is what the whole Millennium is about.

That’s the schedule God’s following, but what does God build? This is what the eight chapters of Ezekiel are about. There is a 25,000 cubit long, 25,000 cubits wide, now right away, cubits? The space from here to here, that’s a cubit. It’s from your elbow to your fingertips, so it’s about a foot and a half. 25,000 of those is seven miles. So, this millennial temple is a seven-mile by seven-mile courtyard that’s fully described down to the doors in Ezekiel. It’s really a very interesting eight chapters of the Bible.

But do you see the green thing? Just outside of that seven-mile by seven-mile space, so it’s 50 square miles, in Jerusalem, a visitor center. Why is it so big? Why did God design in Ezekiel something that big? Because the whole world has to come walking through that once a year for the Feast of Tabernacles. They all have to come and walk through it. It’s like going to Answers in Genesis or the Ark or whatever you go to, the Bible Museum or the Smithsonian, you come on field trips. The whole world is going to be going on field trips through that thing and they’re going to be watching.

Do you know what’s going on in there? Animal sacrifices. Little kids are going to go, eww, they’re killing an animal, a lamb! And the mother will say, listen, they’re going to explain why. Someone’s going to tell them, that is a picture of the King who’s sitting on the throne. He came as the Lamb of God. He died a thousand years ago. It’ll be a thousand, three thousand years ago by then. A thousand-year Millennium. He died three thousand years ago on the cross. That’s a picture of it.

Do you understand why they’re doing sacrifices? Every generation needs to hear the Gospel. God sets up this millennial temple as an evangelism center. The green is that the saints want to be as close to Jesus as they can. They seem to migrate. Instead of coming once a year, they just live there. Think about this. They went up the breadth of the Earth and surrounded the camp of the saints.

I like the way it’s described in Revelation 20:9. The believers, the saints, are camping. This world is not my home. Paul says for we live in this tent. Our building, our citizenship, and the building not made with hands is in Heaven. We have this resurrection body we’re looking forward to going there. Heaven is home. Life is only camping.

God releases, defeats one last rebellion, and then forever punishes Satan. It says in verse 7, the thousand years have expired, and Satan’s released. Verse 10, the devil who deceived them was cast in the Lake of Fire and Brimstone. But don’t miss this, this is one of those moments you should wake up and pay attention to. Where the beast and the false prophet are. When did they get there? One thousand years ago. That was yesterday. In Revelation 19, at Armageddon, the beast and false prophet are captured, those two, and thrown alive, it says in chapter 19, into the Lake of Fire. A thousand years of being in Hell have passed.

Look at verse 10, Where the beast and the false prophet were. Are they, is it like a bug, you know those bug zappers with the purple lights? They hang out around your patio at night so that all the flying bugs will go, vroop! And they’re gone. They’re all piled up at the bottom, dead. Is that what Hell is? It’s over. After 1,000 years, the beast and the false prophet are still being punished. Then they, that’s Satan, the beast, and the false prophet, now there’s three in Hell. They, those three, will be tormented day and night forever and ever. That’s where we get the eternal nature of Hell.

Hell reminds us to always fear the holiness of Jesus. It’s amazing to think of the great white throne. Verse 12, the dead, small and great, standing before God. Everybody that’s ever lived, God reconstitutes them to their body. Bodies were blown in battle or buried and turned to dust and plowed up and the dust went into streams, and it went all over the world, and they became part of a cornfield and a tree, all the molecules that were them. But God gets them all back together and they stand before God and the books are opened and another book is open which is the Book of Life, the eternal registry of those who have been washed in the blood of the Lamb, and they haven’t been. They never called the name of the Lord, they never received forgiveness, God still has a record of all their sins, it wasn’t transferred to Christ, and they were judged according to their works.

By the way, do you know what Paul’s comment is on this judgment? He said they all stand there without excuse. Have you ever been in court? A judge will say, do you have anything to say? I’m not guilty! You never find anybody in prison or in anything that’s ever guilty of anything. Do you know what God says through the Apostle Paul? Every single person stands there in front of God’s throne and God gets all done listing off every sin they’ve ever done. He has a record of every attitude and action and word and deed, and they just stand there. They say, You’re right, You’re righteous, they’re without excuse.

Then it says in verse 13, the sea gives up the dead, death and Hell delivers up all those that are in the grave, and they are judged, each one according to his work. Death and Hell, or death and Hades are cast in the Lake of Fire. This is the second death, and here it is, anyone not found written, again, in the Book of Life, was cast into the Lake of Fire.

That brings us to the most hideous doctrine of the Bible, Hell. This is what Jesus said, who is the authority on Hell, who talks about it more than anybody else. The sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness where there will be, here’s the first thing, weeping, and the second thing, gnashing of teeth. That’s when you grind your teeth together because you can’t even talk, it’s so bad. Look at this, Jesus said, where their worm does not die. They never forget. I know some people say that worms are eating them, that’s great. It’s great if worms are real worms, but it really probably is what we see with the rich man. He’s remembering everything and the fire is not quenched.

But this is the short version, Hell is worse than we ever thought.

What we’re reading about right now, in the glow of God’s glory, surrounding His throne, we already talked about it last week, stand the redeemed of all the ages. We’re there. Behind them, countless ranks are all the angelic hosts, and the four angel creatures are hovering around God’s presence. The 24 elders are standing and kneeling before the throne, and while this is going on the dead, small and great, are assembled, and they’re wherever they’re gathered. Every single person comes up who’s ever lived. Not one soul escapes the summons to the court of the Almighty God. They’re brought up one by one and declared guilty by their own words, deeds, and thoughts that God replays for them.

Did you know our brains have 600 octillion synaptic connections? A synapse is an electronic cross point. It’s like a 0 and a 1 in binary language, in programming, in computer memory, and all that. We have 600 octillion, O C T, tillion. Did you know there are more connections in your brain than there are known stars in the universe? If you add all the galaxies, they’ve thought about that there are, and all the billions of stars, 600 octillion, there are more synaptic connections than there are known stars in the universe. Our brains have unbelievable capacity, and they’re recording every thought, every deed, every word. I know we forget them. You’re forgetting the outline of Revelation and hoping to remember it in time for the test, but it’s all recorded. God plays it back. Their own words, their own deeds, their own thoughts, they bow their heads and say, You’re righteous, I’m not. They’re cast in the Lake of Fire forever.

Everyone in Hell, by the way, believes. Everyone in Hell is a believer, but they believe too late. Now we know already, James tells us, you believe that there’s one God? By the way, James, Jesus’ earthly brother, was teaching the first church in Jerusalem. He was the first pastor of the church in Jerusalem. He was preaching to the first church, the ones born again and baptized and joining the Church on Pentecost, those people. He’s preaching to them because some of them aren’t even Christians after going through that. He says you believe there’s one God? Great. The demons believe that and shake.

Did you know all demons are believers? All demons are orthodox believers. Orthodox in the sense of what it means. Ortho means straight, and the doc is doctrine. They have straight doctrine. They believe in the deity. They believe in the death, burial, and resurrection because they saw it. They believe in the creation because they know he’s the creator. They believe in God. They’re orthodox. They’re not Mormons or Muslims. They’re all what we would call absolutely orthodox doctrine believers. The demons, the fallen angels, they’re not saved. They’re scared. Of course, they can’t be saved, but the lesson is that you can believe all of the facts but remember what Jesus said. You don’t do the will of My Father in Heaven, you practice unrighteousness and lawlessness. See, when you believe you behave right. If you believe you will behave right. See, that’s what the Bible says.

It’s almost time to go. Earth is crashing. It’s dying. Start collecting the headlines. It’s a great talking point with people. Earth is crashing. Earth is dying. Jesus left us here to take people with us to Heaven. When Bonnie and I were serving in one church, of course, we always got to know our missionaries and they’d come home and it’s a great thing. A lot of you are going to be missionaries. We’re missionaries. We would get to know them. We got to know one. He was a pastor of a church in Ethiopia the international church of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. It was Thanksgiving actually and we got a fax. Do you know what a fax is? Probably you don’t. It’s a piece of paper that used to come out of a machine and it would make a sound. It was like an email only on paper that came through the telephone lines. Faxes are amazing. By the way, it discolored, and he couldn’t read it after a little while.

Let me read to you the fax. Flight 961 was a typical flight, one that occurs thousands of times every day around the world. Ethiopian Air Flight 961 took off on November 23rd from Addis Ababa. On board were 163 passengers and 12 crew members. Among those flying that Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. Andy Meekins. Andy was an elder at my church. This is the pastor, missionary that’s talking. The International Evangelical Church of Addis, that large Bible-believing church, was pastored by that dear friend of mine. In two hours of that flight, more than 120 people died, including five people from the church that our missionary served.

Andy, the elder, never survived. Somewhere near Kenya, the hijack began. An unidentified number of men declared themselves escape convicts, taking the flight to Australia. Things turned horrible. They brandished an axe and a supposed bomb, stormed the flight deck, savagely beat the pilot, threw him out, and proceeded to order the other pilot to turn the plane eastward. The pilot said we are out of gas. This is only a short hop flight. They wouldn’t listen. They forced him to continue. As the gas ran out, the pilot pled with them for a refueling stop. They said no. After hugging the coast, the hijackers threatened to blow up the plane. The pilot turned it out into the Indian Ocean.

When it became evident they would not make it, Captain Leo Abate took the microphone and said, listen guys, we’re all dead. There’s no stopping it. The people in the plane began to scream, one witness said to the others some began to pray. The crash is now well known. It was captured by a film of Japanese honeymooning couples. They caught the descent of the 767, the dip of the wing, and the crash.

This is what the wife said. As soon as the pilot said the plane was crashing, she said, I’ll never forget the distinct click of my husband’s seat belt. Off went his seatbelt and down the row of the crashing plane he went, sitting on the armrest, sharing the Gospel this way, sharing the Gospel this way. She said he would look at me in the back of the plane and signal how many people so far had called on the name of the Lord. She said he made it halfway down the aisle of the plane when it crashed. She said, I survived. My husband would have survived if he would have sat next to me in a seat belt. Flight 961 is a lesson. You’re going to have to unsnap your seat belt and talk to the people on this crashing plane. That’s why the Lord left us here.
