1—Christ’s life, ministry, death, burial, resurrection, and the NT books were all accomplished by God, under the shadow of the Roman Empire.
2—Paul’s entire life and ministry were lived out across the Roman Empire.
3—Each of Paul’s 13 letters (or Epistles) was written and circulated in the Roman Empire.
4—God had Paul explain in Galatians 4:4-5, that Christ came, and Paul proclaimed the Gospel in that “Roman Empire” context—which God describes as “the fullness of the time”.
5—The best way to understand, interpret, and apply the Epistles of Paul is to have a good grasp of the Roman Empire.
6—Always remember that Jesus said that the End of the World will be in a time “like” the Roman Empire!
